In March I had a super cold shoot out on Cramond beach for the Pulse Magazine.  The work has been spread over the last two issues and I am very grateful to my amazing team and the magazine who have given my work a public platform.  The two models Melissa and Ciara from The Look agency coped amazingly well in the freezing temperatures and were incredible!!  Big big thanks to Gill Johnston  for her subtle and beautiful make up,  Jaz for his amazing hair skills and Anna for her fantastic assisting and thanks also to Louise Manson who styled the shoot.

I found out the other day that a few of my pictures had been short listed for the BIPPs student photography competition which is pretty nice, Never made it into a competition before!  My lovely friend Anna also got two in as did a whole bunch of other folks from my college, its going to be a good party haha whoop whoop!!

Delighted to say that I came third place for this portrait of Elliott.

Elliott from Select Glasgow feb 2011 Styling: Megan Arbuthnott

Today I spent a lovely few hours taking a some pictures and having lots of chat with Kalle. I met Kalle on the street in september last year and asked if he’d mind me taking some portraits of him as I thought he looked pretty cool! He agreed but Kalle is from Sweden, and was traveling back and forth and working like crazy so, we didn’t get a chance to meet up till today. I love the way photography gives you little opportunities and excuses to meet and chat to people you would never ordinarily approach.
Thank you for a lovely few hours and a lovely few photographs Kalle!!

Apologies for my lack of updates I have been so busy I don’t even know where to start…On Monday I shot the photographs for Ensemble Tailoring’s Look book and what fun we had out at Portseaton, on the beach and in the little village. I had such great people to work with, Gill was there doing the make up and Jaz was there to make sure the models had perfectly tousled hair! Anna was as always my assistant extrordinaire and I think we had a long but fantastic day. I was really privileged to have Wonderful Bora from The Look agency as my female model and Calvin Tom and Chris as my males. I’ve never worked with three models at once never mind 4 so it was a real challenge for me and very worth while as the photos have so much character and charm from all those different personalities! Enormous thanks to everyone involved I will update with images soon!

Recently I have had the pleasure and honour of working with a group of six very talented tailors. Over the past months their work has developed into a collection of 12 amazin outfits. A few weeks ago I visited their studio to photograph some of the tailors at work creating the garments and below are a few photos from my visit.

Fantastic online magazine Slave Magazine recently published some pictures from this shoot which I did before christmas, big thank you to the magazine check it out www.slavemag.com.
Inspiration for the shoot came from speaking to a friend in work about a Chris Isaacs song so I guess the inspiration for the final images came from him.  I had so much fun shooting this with Megan the stylist and Chris the model who suited the 50s feel perfectly.  Thanks guys!

A month ago or so I had the absolute pleasure of working with Bogusia, one of the most fantastic Models working in Scotland at the moment.   When we worked together in the past we went for very powerful poses and strong colours so for this shoot I wanted to go in completely the opposite direction and go for something really relaxed and a little quirky.  Big thank you to Taiyyibah for her fantastic make up, Jaz for his Brilliant hair and Anna who is always there to stop me knocking things over!  Thanks everyone.
